This course is designed to provide the core Breast Knowledge and Breast Self Examination Skills needed to provide BSE instruction to lay persons and other health care professionals. It will include comprehensive didactic sessions for Core Breast Knowledge and BSE Skills followed by a workshop session test over tactile BSE skills and verbal BSE presentations. It will also identify the next steps to take to secure the training and skills necessary to obtain NCBC CBE® Certification. Upon successful completion of this course, (i.e., score of 80% on each didactic, tactile silicone model skills, and verbal mini-lecture test), participants will receive a NCBC BSE Instructor’s Certificate.
