National Quality Measures
for Breast Centers™

A Quality Initiative of the
National Consortium of Breast Centers™

Dear Breast Center,

The NCBC would like to inviting breast centers from across the country to participate in the National Quality Measures for Breast Centers™ Program.  This program is a completely confidential interactive process which will help define quality benchmarks for breast centers of all types and sizes. Because we have more than 1,000 breast center members, we have the opportunity to compile a secure database from which breast centers of all types can be compared.

Each center has the opportunity to enter data which will be only available to the NCBC alone and no outside agency. From this database, immediately following data input, participants will be able to view and print comparison reports. Each quality initiative member can then look at the combined results of data entry by breast center groups. (For example, centers in non-academic institutions with 30,000 mammograms performed yearly can compare themselves with averaged data from similar centers.) No individual center identification will be available, but the ability to compare your center with like centers will be unprecedented and immediate!

The NCBC will officially recognize centers that participate in the National Quality Measures for Breast Centers™ Program in a variety of ways.  The NCBC will officially recognize each participant as a Certified Participant in the National Quality Measures for Breast Centers™.  This designation grants eligibility to become a Certified Quality Breast Center™ and ultimately a Certified Breast Center of Excellence™.   Plus, all participants will be provided with a standard press release to be used with area media.

If you are ready to participate now, click here to view the next steps. If you would like additional information click here.  We look forward to adding your center as a Certified Participant in the National Quality Measures for Breast Centers™ to this growing list of breast centers dedicated to providing quality care for their patients.
