ANNOUNCEMENT
A SPECIAL FOUR HOUR BREAST CANCER NAVIGATION SESSION
will now be offered as an added course at the NCBC Conference with assistance from Genomic Health, Inc.
This course is accredited for nurses and physicians for 3.0 and 3.5 credit hours.
A distinctive breast cancer navigation segment has been added to this year’s already extensive NCBC conference program. The specially designed educational sessions in this segment are being presented in assistance with Genomic Health, Inc.
Presentations will include information on: the continuum of patient care through a multidisciplinary approach; the various navigation roles and ranges of navigation activities; the impact of patient navigation on patient care and the interdisciplinary team; and critical information necessary for adjuvant treatment decision making for optimal patient care.
Plus, the navigation segment will culminate with three discussion groups addressing issues relating to centers where patient care is provided by dedicated breast cancer navigators, breast centers whose navigator has responsibilities in addition to his or her navigation role and breast centers who do not currently have a breast cancer navigation function but would like to add it to their services.
