Ms. La Fargue has been a member of the Newsletter Advisory Board for several years. She has agreed to expand her responsibilities now that the newsletter is broadening its scope of activities to take advantage of the new digital platform.
Ms. La Fargue earned both her BA in Psychology and her MPH, specializing in Health Services Management, at UCLA. She is a recognized service line integration thought leader who has published in over 20 peer-reviewed journals, trade publications, magazines and briefings. She is a long-term NCBC member who has contributed to The Breast Center Bulletin and presented several times at the NCoBC annual conference.
During her 28-year career in healthcare, Ms. La Fargue has provided administrative services for a diverse set of programs, including several breast centers. She launched her consultancy, The LaFargue Group, in 2008 and currently serves as Certified Core Adjunct Faculty in the School of Health and Human Services at National University.
There are two long-term professionals in the Newsletter Advisory Group who will continue their very important consultative and review responsibilities: Barbara Rabinowitz, PhD, MSW, RN, president of Creative Solutions in Southport, NC and Sue Bowman, RN, OCN, CBCN, MSW, York Cancer Center, York, PA. Claudia Z. Lee, MBA will continue to serve as Editor. Please not that NCBC will be adding features, one-at-a-time so be on the alert as there are exciting features ahead.
